The Instituto San Joaquín de Flores is designed specifically to take advantage of the beautiful natural environment and facilitate learning. The large windows of the two-story building reveal picturesque views of distant mountains and volcanoes. Classrooms, lounges and study areas on each floor create a comfortable academic environment for visiting students. Lush gardens with tropical plants, fruit trees and orchids surround the school. Faculty from the Universidad de Costa Rica and the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Costa Rica teach the courses at the Instituto and transcripts are issued by U.S. accredited Fairfield University.
