PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS AND GENERAL INFORMATION
- Open to beginning, intermediate, advanced and superior level French speakers
- Open to freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors
- Completed API application
- One letter of recommendation
- One official transcript
- Minimum 2.75 G.P.A.
- Classes taught in French
- Housing: local host families, dorms and studettes
- Meals: host families and/or CROUS meal stipend card
- Entry requirements: valid passport

ACADEMIC PROGRAM
The intensive month session provides a general overview of French language and culture for all levels. Students attend French language classes as well as 1-2 workshops in oral French, phonetics, written French, and culture and civilization, according to their level and ability. Advanced and superior level students attend additional lectures. Overnight excursions are not included in the cost of the intensive month sessions but can be added for an extra fee.
This program is for students at all levels. Classes are taught at the beginning, intermediate, advanced and superior levels. Level of study is based on a placement exam administered by the Institut Catholique de Paris upon arrival. January and February intensive month students take 21 hours per week of class: 15 hours of French language, plus 2 workshops in oral and written French.
Students take 30 hours of class per week in September for a total of 120 hours or 8 semester credits.

Students receive a transcript from the Institut Catholique de Paris.
