INTENSIVE MONTH

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS AND GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Minimum 2.75 G.P.A.
  • This program is for students at all levels of Spanish
  • Completed API application
  • One letter of recommendation
  • One official transcript
  • Classes taught in Spanish
  • Housing: local host families and residencias
  • Entry Requirements: Valid Passport (no visa required for programs shorter than 90 days)

TWO-WEEK SESSION

  • 40-50 hours
  • approximately 3 semester credits

 

THREE-WEEK SESSION

  • 60-75 hours
  • 4-5 semester credits

 

MONTH PROGRAM

  • 80-100 hours
  • 5-6 semester credits
 

ACADEMIC PROGRAM

 

  • Intensive two-week, three-week and month-long courses in Spanish language and culture are available
    throughout the year.
  • Most students choose to fly into Madrid Barajas International Airport and travel independently by bus
    to Salamanca.
  • Ground transportation to/ from Madrid is not included in the program fee unless the student selects a program
    in September or January, but it can be arranged at an additional cost. ONLY January and September programs
    include airport reception and an orientation program in Madrid in the program fee.
  • No excursions are included during the intensive month, two- or three-week programs.
  • If this program is taken along with a semester or quarter program, a discount is applied.
 

COURSE SELECTIONS


Please refer to the course selections for each language level in the Salamanca Spanish Language and Culture section. Students will select their courses from the same course offerings; they will not, however, be incorporated into the existing quarter classes but will complete courses with other short term students.

 

TRANSCRIPTS


API students will receive a transcript from the University of Salamanca.
